Easter

We had a strange Easter this year. It was so cold. The day before, we went to an Easter Egg hunt, and it snowed. No kidding. I had to dig out the winter coats and everything. It didn't seem to bother the kids much. They had a great time hunting for eggs.

The best part of the day was the petting zoo. Max hadn't been to one before and was unsure what to do with the baby chicks and bunnies. He pet a few, but mainly just stared at them. Luke loved it. He kept picking up the baby ducks and then dropping them when they squirmed. It's a good thing he's under 4 feet tall, because those ducks took a beating. And did I mention, we did all of this outside in the snow?

The boys were funny all dressed up on Easter day. I don't dress them up much but Babbie insisted that they have new outfits, including belts. They were good sports about it but their shirts were untucked and their shoes were untied before we even made it to church. Oh well, I tried and at least I got a couple of pictures. All in all, we had a really nice day.

The next week did not go so well. Next year, remind me to tell the Easter Bunny not to bring so much candy. Sugar and little boys do not mix very well.
